Prof (Dr) Balvir S Tomar is a highly qualified medical professional, entrepreneur and philanthropist born on 28-08-1950 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. A Harvard USA and Kings College, London alumni, Dr Tomar did his MBBS, MD, MCH(USA), MIAP, MAHT (ENGLAND), FIAP, FAAP(USA), FICA(USA), FACU (LONDON), Paediatric – Gastroenterology, fellowship from Harvard University USA, Training in Pediatric Hepatology from Kings collage of London school of Medicine (U.K.), W.H.O. Fellow - Child Health in USA, Commonwealth Medical Fellow in London (UK) and stood topper throughout his study. Joined as Professor at SMS Medical College, Dr Tomar started Nims University in Jaipur in 2002.

He has travelled to many countries including USA, UK, Russia, Australia, Japan, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Singapore, Bangkok, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Turkey, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, UAE, Libya, Kuwait, Iran etc.

He has been awarded “Rajiv Gandhi Award 1998” for excellence in Pediatric Gastroenterology, “the extraordinary award in 1997 by the “Indian Academy of Pediatrics”, Award for excellence in Pediatric Gastroenterology in 1995 by the “Indian Academy of Pediatrics” and State Level Awards in 1995 by the State Government for excellent contribution in Pediatrics; beside this he has been awarded with many lifetime achievement awards by many organisations in India and Abroad.
